This is a research paper about different educational issues and the social changes these bring about in people of different classes in the society. As the world is now globalised with the importance of national borders decreasing day by day and rapid growth in communication means people are affected by the activities of each other no matter how far geographically they are. This document refers to how educational changes effect the life of individuals and the people related to them and thus the whole society .It refers to the social changes brought about by different educational issues in this world that has become a global village .It tells us about how different people or different regions deal with education, its issues, its benefits and the changes good or bad it has on the society (Hopmann, Stefan Thomas, 2008). What basically is education? Key characteristics of education are, everyone teaches and learns, so leadership is shared; starting with learners' experiences and concerns; high participation; creation of new knowledge; critical reflection; connecting the local to the global; and collective action for change Education is the most powerful weapon which can be used to change the world ! It is the process of educating, providing knowledge, building the character and personality of an individual so that he can become a useful part of the society (Brennan, 2008). Education enhances the capabilities of a person, opens up his mind and increases the productiveness of an individual. As Aristotle said “the roots of education are bitter but the fruit is sweet’. An educated individual is a benefit to the whole society. The whole society enjoys the benefits an educated individual provides to the society as well as the person him self. Education has many benefits and it helps the society change in many positive ways. (Davies, Lyell. , 2008) In most fields of study and societies, education courses are a standard part of the curriculum. Education programs help students stay up to date with accessible and a relatively easy method of acquiring new information related to the changes, methods, breakthroughs and research in their field of expertise and general global development There are many such educational institutions that continuously strives to address these ever changing needs of global change focusing on training students paying special attention to cultural and intellectual background. (Sheung-Tak Cheng) For many reasons, most people take an education break and don’t complete their degrees. This causes students to lose confidence and with time, even forget the study material contents. Educational courses help students gain greater self esteem and confidence in their skills helping them to compete in this tough and rapidly growing competitive society. How does education change the society? What is the social change in the society caused by education? The goal of education is to develop people's capacity for social change through a collective problem-solving approach emphasizing participation, reflection, and critical analysis of social problems Social change can be referred to as ‘the real movement which abolishes the present state of things’ To bring about social action, we must first recognize and understand social issues and problems. (Cheng-Yen, 2008) Social issues are problems that affect all individuals directly or in directly in a society these issues can include drugs, racism, poverty, teenage sex, injustice, global warming and many others.
